CrownBio 2017. Poster: MiXeno™ – Simple, Fast, and Cost-Effective Humanized ModelsPreclinical humanized mouse models are required to assess human-specific therapeutics. Different humanization strategies have been previously reported, including human hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) humanized and human PBMC reconstituted tumor models.

Using PBMC to reconstitute the human immune system provides the fastest engraftment rate, and a suitable model for short term immuno-oncology studies. CrownBio has successfully established and validated a panel of PBMC-humanized xenograft models (MiXeno).

These models provide human T cells reconstituted in a mouse immune system, and have been utilized to assess a range of human-origin bispecific antibodies, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and immuno-modulators.
