Understanding tumor growth kinetics is crucial for drug efficacy statistical analysis in preclinical cancer research. Different tumor models, such as patient-derived xenografts (PDX), cell line derived xenografts, and syngeneic models, show different tumor growth behavior under vehicle or drug treatment
It’s currently unknown which of the many mathematical models suggested for tumor growth kinetics is the most appropriate for large numbers of tumors, or to use across different types of tumor model.
This poster evaluates eight mathematical models for describing tumor growth kinetics, under vehicle or drug treatment, for PDX, cell line derived xenograft, and syngeneic models, using data from over 35,000 mice.
