Decoding In Vitro Oncology Innovations: Organoids, OMICs, and Their Role in Early Drug Discovery and Clinical Applications

This popular GEN (Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News) webinar explores the dynamic intersection of technology and biology, where in vitro tools and OMICs applications unravel mechanisms of action, drug discovery, and clinical translation.

What you will learn:

  • Strengths and Weaknesses of In Vitro Tools: We discuss an array of in vitro tools including tumor cell lines, organoids, 3D cultures, high throughput screens (HTS), and their respective merits and limitations in the context of clinical translation.

  • In Vitro Models for Biomarker Discovery: Here we delve into 2D and 3D models including cell lines and organoids. Our focus is on their utility in discovering biomarkers and signature responses, which are crucial for informed in vivo modeling and patient stratification in clinical settings.

  • Application of OMICs in Early Drug Discovery: Together, we explore the role of OMICs applications, with a particular focus on tumor organoids and organoid screening in the early stages of drug discovery.
