New standalone platform harmonizes global HR processes, strengthen operational scalability, and create a more consistent employee experience.

SAN DIEGO — August 17, 2026 — Crown Bioscience, a global contract research organization (CRO) specializing in oncology drug discovery and development, announced the successful launch of its dedicated global Workday platform, marking an important milestone in the company’s ongoing business transformation.

The new standalone Workday environment supports Crown Bioscience’s evolving global operations and long-term growth strategy by bringing its core HR processes together within a single, independent platform. The implementation is designed to provide greater consistency across the organization, strengthen operational and compliance capabilities, and improve the experience of employees and managers worldwide.

The platform officially went live on August 3, 2026, following several months of planning, implementation, testing, and data validation. The deployment spans Workday Human Capital Management, Talent Optimization, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Advanced Compensation, and Global Payroll Connect. The transition was completed in collaboration with Workday and EZE Cloud Consulting, Crown Bioscience’s Workday services partner.

“The successful global launch of Workday is a significant milestone in our transformation journey and a strategic step in strengthening our business for the future,” said John Gu, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Bioscience. “By modernizing our core operations and enhancing the way we support our people, we are building a more agile, efficient, and scalable organization.”

“Crown Bioscience’s global launch of Workday marks an important step forward in how we support our people across the organization,” said Shirley Huang, Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Crown Bioscience. “By modernizing and harmonizing core HR processes, we are creating a more consistent, connected, and seamless employee experience around the world. This transformation is about more than systems. It strengthens how we attract, develop, and enable talent, and helps us build a more agile, future-ready organization.”

“Healthcare and life sciences organizations need modern, connected systems that can support global growth and create a simpler experience for their employees,” said Michael Hofherr, Senior Vice President, Industry Product, Workday. “We’re excited to help Crown Bioscience bring its workforce onto a single global platform to streamline operations and support its ongoing innovation. We’re proud to partner with them on this important step in their transformation."

EZE Cloud supported Crown Bioscience throughout the implementation and migration program, working alongside the company and Workday to establish the new standalone environment and prepare the organization for its global launch.

Damodar Pai, Founder and Co-CEO, EZE Cloud, stated: "An organization’s people platform should evolve alongside its business. Crown Bioscience’s decision to establish an independent global Workday environment provides a strong digital foundation that enables the organization to adapt, scale, and support future business priorities with confidence. This transformation demonstrates how Workday can help organizations build resilient HR ecosystems that evolve with the enterprise."

Sandeep Sharma, Co-CEO and Board Member, EZE Cloud, added: "Launching a standalone Workday environment requires far more than a technical migration. It demands disciplined planning, rigorous validation, and close collaboration to ensure business continuity throughout the transition. Working alongside Crown Bioscience and Workday, our focus was on delivering a stable, future-ready platform that employees could adopt with confidence from day one."
