Our Isotype Control Antibodies are the Ideal Research Controls

CrownBio Life Science is a newly launched division of the company specializing in in vivo and in vitro research reagents to support our partners' preclinical research efforts. The Life Science Division of CrownBio is headquartered in Santa Clara, CA, and now provides a range of research reagents including isotype control antibodies.

In Vivo Grade Isotype Control Antibodies

  • Suitable for use in in vivo studies as well as functional studies, WB, IHC, FC, IP, etc.
  • Very low endotoxin levels (<0.5EU/mg)
  • Supplied at high concentration (3-5mg/ml)
  • Supplied in PBS only; no carriers or additives
  • Purity of >95% as analyzed by SDS-PAGE and HPLC

Isotype controls are essential for validating experimental results. They are commonly used in in vivo antibody studies and immunological assays as a negative control. Isotype controls lack specificity to the experimental target of interest, but will exhibit many of the same non-specific binding that may arise from non-CDR antibody elements of the target-specific primary antibody. The isotype control should match the target-specific primary antibody′s host species, isotype (including subclass and light chain), level of conjugation, and IgG concentration.

CrownBio has developed a full suite of IgG isotype controls specifically for pharma and biotechnology companies with a need for in vivo grade antibody controls. These isotype controls have been developed and formulated specifically for use in in vivo animal studies and high throughput screening assays. Unlike standard isotype control antibodies, CrownBio’s isotype control antibodies have been produced in a low endotoxin controlled environment and are QC′d for both endotoxin levels and IgG purity. They are supplied at high concentration without any additives. Our isotype controls have been successfully validated and used by several pharmaceutical and biotech companies in their in vivo efficacy studies.

These IgG isotype control monoclonal antibodies were raised against hen egg lysozyme (HEL), a target that does not exist in mice or humans, in order to avoid cross reactivity. Each isotype control was expressed in mammalian cells and purified with a protein A affinity column. Each isotype control is suitable for use as a negative control, standard, blocking agent, or coating protein in various applications.

Bulk quantities of these antibodies are readily available. Please contact us at 855.827.6968 or products@crownbio.com for a quote.
