CD11b Antibody

Catalog #CA022

CD11b (Integrin αMβ2, Mac-1, CD11b/CD18) is a non-covalently linked heterodimer of αM and β2 subunits on the surface of leukocytes. It is expressed on the surface of many leukocytes involved in the innate immune system, including monocytes, granulocytes, macrophages and natural killer cells. CD11b consists of two polypeptide chains with molecular weights 95 and 170kDa. The heterodimeric proteins (designated CD11) share a common beta chain CD18 of 95kDa; The alpha chain component of the leukocyte associated antigen is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages. CD11b plays a pivotal role in the adhesion and migration of these cells. This antibody reacts with the 170 kDa (CD11b/CD18 heterodimer).

IHC staining of Jurkat cells fixed and stained with CD11b antibody (catalog # CA022) at 1:100 for 10 min @ RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissue requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

Western Blot analysis of Jurkat whole cell lysate, using CD11b antibody (catalog # CA022) at a 1:500 dilution.
